NASA Visits Washington

Oh, the dreams I had as a child. NASA was the ultimate goal. They are feeding into that with this generation of children. NASA has an exhibit that is touring the USA and made a stop right here in Olympia. There were interactive computers screens, a moon rock you could pet (I was totally bummed you couldn't really touch it.) I did find out that moon rock is Basalt!

Mr. Mailman even went to see NASA. LOL

When we were done, Ethan got his picture taken and put on an astronaut suit (they could choose either the moon or Mars) and were given NASA goodies. I know that this was propaganda for why the government should continue to support NASA but it was a blast. There plan is a station on the moon by 2020. Good luck to them!

swimming

We coordinate even in the pool!

Ethan is swimming with his life jacket but I am okay with that for now. My biggest goal for him is to get experience in the water and courage to try. In the past the only swimming he has done is in the school pool. So this is good.

Now I can't seem to keep him from the water. LOL

Mema Pulled it out!

While Ryan and I were golfing (yes I golf in a golf league) Ethan begged his Mema to pull out his loose tooth. My son has a thing about blood. I believe the event went something like this:
"Mema can you pull it out?"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I want it out."
Mema pulls a bit.
"Is it bleeding? Is it bleeding?"
"yes."
Ethan gets the bleeding to stop. "Okay Mema. I am ready."
Mema pulls out the tooth.
Ethan calls mommy. "Mommy my tooth came out."
Mommy thinks...THANK GOD I don't have to pull it. LOL

Seattle Sounders

Soccer has arrive in full glory here in Seattle. No better sport to watch as a group or with friends and family. We took Ethan to his first true professional sporting event this weekend. He had an amazing time and was so fun to watch. He intently watched the game.....

Had his first taste of the delicacy of cotton candy. mmm mmm good!

And made lots of noise on his green horn.

The Fort

In May Ethan, Papa, and Daddy built the long awaited and much promised fort. This was done the weekend before Ryan's birthday party so that Ethan and his friends would have something to do while all the adults sat around talking outside. The fort was perfect as was the weather.

Finding the right tool:

Talking with Papa about what needs to be done next.

The finished product works just fine!

I found it. I found it. I found my camera! I am so excited, thrilled, relieved, and elated. I will post pictures some time this week.
